The story of the "Ice Age" franchise is expanded through these sequel movies, shorts, and TV specials. In addition to the "Ice Age" feature films, the franchise includes shorts and video games. From creating The Solar System and sinking Scratlantis to wiping out all life on Mars, he’s sure been through a lot to get his hands on an acorn!Īt the moment, there’s been no information revealed on whether Scrat will be making his return in this film, but due to his sheer popularity we’re sure he will make an appearance.Since the first installment, there have been five "Ice Age" movies, with the most recent feature being 2016's "Ice Age: Collision Course." To date, these movies have earned more than $3.2 billion at the worldwide box office (via The Numbers). His love for acorns seems to be more of a curse, rather than a blessing as his obsession has caused some cataclysmic events.
